Minutes

Monument Lettering – Eric Tinsley (not present)

• Vandalized for 3^rd time
• Finding “bonding” method solution to adhere lettering to the stone
• Todd Howard asked if another solution such as etched stone might be better

Newsletter – sent out late this past time

Casa Linda Theatre

• Plans to turn into Granada type restaurant/theatre
• 15 year lease; spending $1.2 million to renovate

Crimewatch

• Murder @ Peavy Burgermart
• Red pickup w/man and young man cruising neighborhood stealing from garages that are open
• Homeless man living in ravine

Texas Trap

• Buyout by Latino bar on hold

Tea Room on Peavy

• Actually front for legal slot machine gambling per Ron Carpenter of NE substation DPD

Beautification – Susie Himes

• Waiting on city to match funds for Galway Circle plan
• Benches, plants, handicap access
• Plan is in place
• Andrea Hosterman volunteered to help Susie

Treasury Report – Josh Theodore

• $8643 carryover in May plus $600 in dues, donations, and ads
• Only 20% of the homes in LPENA have never been members of the neighborhood association
• Will have membership drive again

Emerald High Rise – Terry Syler

• Dallas Business Journal article / 25 story luxury condos
• People w/ very mixed opinions on this topic
• $50 million project / retail would improve in the area as a result
• Need to form an opinion as a group
• Bring in developers to next mtg. perhaps to present schematic, plan, etc.
• Only have 2 acres to build on
• Opportunity to voice our opinions about what we would like to see

Graffiti – Richard

• Stop signs
• Fire hydrant
• Resolved quickly by the city / within 3 days
• Call 311 if you should see any again
