Meeting Times
Board meetings are now the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM. Location is TBA before each meeting.
Crime Watch
Need to find a new person. This position will be vacant until April. A request for a crime watch person was emailed today by Lucy. New crime watch person will also need to track and report graffiti.
Monument Letters
Richard Fleming took the letters, and he will have a contractor reinstall them in a more permanent manner.
Fall Picnic
The picnic will be on Oct. 29 at Galway Circle. We should invite the fire department and police. It is expected that Albertsons will continue to donate meats. Certain names were brought up to take charge of planning, and these people will be contacted by Lucy White.
Galway Circle Beautification Project
Molly has submitted notarized paperwork for MOWmentum to Dallas. Board expressed that we need to make a move soon, but the board acknowledges it is probably too late in the year to get it started.
Neighborhood Patrol
Dallas PD has a training program for volunteer neighborhood patrols called Citizens on Patrol (COP). DPD apparently wants patrol volunteers to go through this program. Eastwood and Dixon Branch Neighborhood Associations are either using volunteer patrols or hiring off-duty DPD officers to patrol their neighborhoods. Noted that a lot of crime happens during nasty, wet weather because fingerprints dissolve and dogs are indoors.
